I made the second part of the headdress using InstaMorph. Looking good so far!
Then I painted the two pieces with some gold metallic paint.
The next part was going to be tricky, I wanted to use resin to fill in all the jewel spaces, but I knew it would be difficult. Resin is like syrup until it sets, and then it's impossible to get off of whatever it's attached to!
I had to cover my eyes and mouth for the next part, I'm a little suspicious about all those warning labels. Ready for action!
Then I poured in the resin (I colored it with some red oil paint) and moved it around and around until it stopped spilling out of the mold! :D
Now I just have to wait 2 hours to see if it worked!
