DragonCon Practice!

And here we goooooo!!!

I decided to use eyelash glue for the ears instead of the complimentary spirit glue they came with. I didn't want to buy glue removal for it, so this seemed like the perfect solution!
I'm also not sure about the contacts or not, since I can only wear them for eight hours...I want to be able to be at Dragoncon all day when I can. We shall see.

Also, I finished my second glove (finally) and it looks great!! All I have to do is a nice coat of spray paint and it'll be all done! I'm really looking forward to some great times!!

I also think this makeup will be perfect for the next Ren Faire too... I like the fawn look! So sweet!

Almost finished!

I'm very proud to say that I am almost done with my costume! Yay!
Here I am madly sewing on my beautiful table! And in case you wanted to know, this is a candid shot of me laughing while watching anime!

I actually thought it was completely done, but then I realized I forgot the sleeves...and the fact that I've only sewed one glove! Whoops! Although it might be fun to do a Micheal Jackson impression...
Anyway, here is the majority of the costume!

I need to do a couple more layers of paint on these, but still, aren't they awesome??
I finally broke down and bought contacts, although I'm still not sure if I'm going to wear them...But hey! Here is a picture of what the top of the costume will look like!

Dress, why you no like me?

I was so excited about my dress that I had finished, but the result was....disastrous. Too disastrous for pictures!! It was ridiculously stiff and short and stuck out in strange places. Why dress why? I've made dresses before! :-(
I took it apart and am going to start again. 

Luckily for me, I happened to buy a beautiful work table! No longer must I slave on the floor sewing! I have a gorgeous inlaid table to work on!

And I also made my feather headpieces fluffier! Now I can fly away!

Boot and glove minor catastrophe!

So I FINALLY finished sewing the shoes to the outer layer of the boots. That only took forever! And I decided to add the color. I also thought I'd try out a fabric paint pen on my boots! Only that green on the bottle was waaaaay brighter than I expected. Nonetheless I carried on painting the boot....

Only to have it completely chip off as soon as I put them on...

And I painted my glove at the same time...

Le sigh... But hey! Check out that black spray paint! It looks awesome. So the only thing to do was to get a dark green spray paint to cover up all my woes!

Much better! And I think it matches my antler spots too!
