I had a fabulous birthday yesterday! It was so fun setting up and having people over to eat all the food I slaved over! :D
It was supposed to be an outdoor party, but we ended up having to move it indoors because it rained the first hour of the party!
When it stopped, everyone grabbed a bubble jar and started blowing bubbles! It doesn't show very well, but all the bubbles didn't pop, they just rested on the grass! It was really cool!
After everyone got tired of blowing bubbles, it was time to play pin the tail on the bunny!
It was really fun, but only two ladies were winners! Tequila for over 21 and 1920s poetry book for under 21!
I was so surprised that people brought me presents, I was just happy that they came! The most ridiculous/fabulous though, was the massive fans!!
I love how the caterpillar looks with the glowing eyes!! This was my friend who let me borrow her house for the party!
It was such a fun party, and I'm so happy everyone came! Now it's time for me to hop down the rabbit hole!!

Caterpillar finished!!!!
Ahhh! He's so adorable! First I drape him in some beautiful fabric! He looks so cute!
Then I folded it around him! And added some little antenna!
And the finished product, he's so sweet! I can't wait to see him a lit up a the party!
I also decided to make seventy Linsor Tarts for everyone to eat!
Whew! That took four hours!
For all my delicious foods, I wanted to add beautiful labels! It's all coming together!!

Alice in Wonderland Party prep!
My birthday is coming up and I'm throwing a big party!
The most exciting thing I've been doing is putting together a giant glowing caterpillar!!
...
Which isn't officially assembled yet.
But here is progress on making his beautiful chubby face!!
He looks so pretty with a fresh coat of paint!
I also decided to make a giant mushroom! It was really easy, I just got some chicken wire and make a nice little frame and then hot glued (ha ha! So lazy!) some fabric around it! The best part is that it has a pvc pipe inside, so I can hammer it into the ground!
And what party would be complete without drinks? Especially delicious spiced rum marinated with dragon fruit and mango? Yum yum yummy!!
Oh, another great thing I found was a used bookstore! I know that seems really lame, but where I live it's really unusual to find a bookstore!! And look at these great finds I found there! All of these books were printed before 1930!!
The middle blue one is from the 1800's and it has beautiful etched illustrations! I am in love!!
I was thinking of using one of these books for a prize at my party.....but I think I'll be keeping that blue one!
Anyway, more updates for the party and White mage coming soon!

White Mage anyone?
Traditional White mage is pretty boring, but I think with a few improvements, it will be recognizable and fun!
I'll also be borrowing heavily from FFXIV, so yeah!

First, I made my sketches! I wanted lace everywhere so I headed off to the thrift store! I would like to sincerely thank the person who donated their wedding dress!
Since I'll be using a lot of flowery lace through this whole thing, I decided to design a little triangle leaf that will be going around the cuffs and the bottom of the tunic.
I wanted to make a sort of banner going down the front part of the mage outfit, and I added the leaf design to the bottom to match the ongoing theme.
I had to remove the top and add more fabric to the bolero part, but I think it looks pretty spiffy!
In other news, I finished another pair of bunny glasses! YAY!
I'm having a party for my birthday soon, and it's going to be Alice in Wonderland! And what better way to kick off a party than making a giant glowing caterpillar? So here is the beginning of his beautiful chubby face!
And Just for fun, my friend sent me a gift for my birthday! The white rabbit bow! She knows me well.

Supercon Stormfly costume complete!
I honestly didn't think I was going to make it! My friend ended up coming over and we painted for 10 hours trying to get all those little scales done!
Candice the Cat wanted to help too!
My best Dragon side!
But it ended up working perfectly! I wore it for 3 1/2 hours the first day and 1 1/2 the third day and it was super comfortable! Honestly, we could hardly walk because people kept stopping us for pictures!
Since the costume was super durable, it was great fun! Everyone could touch it, smack it, put things in the mouth, you name it and people did it!
I have a few things to touch-up, but honestly, it was so fun, it won't seem like work!
